Forty-six thousand seven hundred US dollars ($46700) is the amount that the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Burundi granted to Burundi National Assembly as a contribution for the construction of extra offices at Kigobe Congress Palace. That was during an audience Right Honorable Speaker of the National Assembly granted, November 17, 2021, to the Ambassador of China His Excellency Zhao Jiangping.

In their conversation, Right Hon. Gelase Daniel Ndabirabe spoke about the construction progress of a building that will house additional offices and an international conference hall that will host 2,000 to 2,500 people.
The construction is now at the stage of laying the slab which will take place on November 27, 2021. The Government of Burundi promised 2800 rebars size #10 and 2100 rebars size #8.

On behalf of the National Assembly and the country, Right Honourable appreciated the contribution of the People’s Republic of China to the construction activities of the building. Both sides pledged to continue their long-standing bilateral relations.
