The First Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly alongside the people of Buganda during community development work

Without the existence of school, there is no knowledge for the youth," said Hon. Sabine Ntakarutimana, First Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly during the community development work she carried out on Saturday, May 13, 2023 joining the population of the Ndava area in Buganda commune of Cibitoke province. She was accompanied by Members of Parliament elected in this constituency.

In a good atmosphere, they made and brought together the concrete used to pave three (3) classrooms already functional, in extension of the communal high school of Ndava, which will allow students to attend classes in good conditions

Taking the floor, Hon. Sabine Ntakarutimana congratulated the population of Ndava and its administrative staff for their efforts in the execution of the project of the school extension, reminding that every child must study. ’’Without the existence of the school, no knowledge for the youth,’’ she said.

The First Deputy Speaker of the Lower House of the Burundian Parliament invited the population to engage in agro-pastoral activities in order to contribute remarkably to the increase of the production in accordance with the vision of His Excellency the President of the Republic. She also urged each household to cultivate a small field during the dry season to strengthen the production of basic foodstuffs.

She did not miss to launch a vibrant appeal to the population of Buganda to consolidate peace and fraternal solidarity, and discouraged the practice of buying food crops not yet reached the stage of harvest through the bad practice commonly called "Umurwazo".
